Spring Break Style – My Vacation Essentials

I don’t know about you, but in Denver, spring still means snow, snow, and more snow! Spring is the perfect time to escape the cold for a warmer destination. These are some of my spring break essentials that you need to bring on your next vacation.

Packing for a trip can be difficult, especially when you’re trying to pack light. For shorter vacations, I opt for jumpsuits, dresses, or matching sets because they take the hassle out of putting together outfits. Then when you are on vacation mode, you just grab one clothing piece or a matching set and you’re done! Matching sets are great too because you can mix and match the tops and bottoms for more variety.

Jumpsuits are the best because they make your legs look super long, and jumpsuits with vertical stripes are even more flattering. Tropical prints are perfect for embracing your vacation and the warm weather. Wrap style tops look chic and effortless, and they are flattering because the style draws attention to your natural waist. Ruffles and pom poms are fun details that can spice up any basic silhouette and take your look to the next level!

If you’re going somewhere warm for vacation, it is important to protect your eyes and skin from the sun. Straw hats are great because they are lightweight, and big brims help cover your face and eyes to help you keep that face looking flawless! Sunglasses not only protect your eyes from the sun, but they also make you look extremely cool at the same time. Cat eyes and aviators are my favorite styles at the moment.

Hopefully, if your destination is hot, there is somewhere to swim nearby to cool off. Bandeau style swimsuits are the best because you get way less tan lines. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with stripes and color blocking for swimwear. If bikinis aren’t your style, one-piece suits are great too, and cut out details can add an extra flair to a plain suit. Bold prints like florals and palm are super summery, and bright colors are not only fun, but they also help flaunt your new tan!

No outfit is complete without accessories, and on spring break, it can be fun to experiment with new styles for the summer. Straw and wicker bags are good for the beach because they don’t get damaged by sand or water, and tote bags are great for carrying all of your essentials. Tassel or beachy earrings make any outfit more interesting and playful. When it comes to shoes, espadrille sandals or wedges are comfortable and versatile enough to go with almost any outfit, and wedges give you the extra height for jumpsuits or maxi dresses.

Always,

Amber
