Soooo lets just take a moment and talk about these BLANKNYC pants. I mean, they are velvet (check), they are flares (check) and they make the legs look long and da booty look good. I don’t think I could love them any more, except they are a tad difficult to get on. The waist band is elastic but there is a part that has no stretch and makes them tough to get up. They are worth the extra effort in my opinion.

Now that Thanksgiving is upon us, I have really been reflecting on this past year. I really try to keep my blog and social channels a happy place, even when I’m going through a tough time, but I have to tell you guys, the last few months have really been trying for me and my family. We’ve had some unfortunate situations and stresses we have had to deal with. With all that is going on, I’m so happy that it is this time of year because it has made me look at what I am thankful for. It’s so easy to get caught up in the “image” that you see on social media and on blogs and you forget about the people behind the pics. It’s natural to show our best selves but it is so important to remember that regardless of what it looks like, everyone is fighting their own battle. In honor of Thanksgiving I’m going to share what I am thankful for. I often make “grateful lists” but this one feels a little extra special because it is needed the most.

I am thankful for…

My family. No family is perfect but I sure got blessed with some gems. I am thankful for their continuous love and support and I can’t wait to feast and laugh with them tomorrow.

My dog. She is such a needy spaz but she sure makes me laugh and brightens my day.

This space. I feel so proud and lucky to have built this blog and the fact that anyone reads it at all still blows my mind. I appreciate this community and connecting with like-minded people more than you know. I feel like I have such a massive group of friends because of all of you <3 This blog challenges me daily and continues to make me change and grow. That is irreplaceable and I am eternally thankful that I took the leap to pursue this passion.

Friends. They are the best, the funniest, most supportive group and I don’t know what I did to deserve them but I am so thankful <3

My Health. One thing I have really learned watching my mom and some friends struggle with health this year and that your health should never be taken for granted and you should do your best to keep it.

My Life Coach. Yes, I have a life coach and she is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. The guidance and perspective she gives me has helped me so much in all areas of my life and I am so thankful for her.

The Disappointments. They make the victories taste that much sweeter.

I hope you have a fantastic Thanksgiving! There is one more thing I would like to mention, especially with the history of Thanksgiving in mind, here is a link to read about and learn how you can Help The Standing Rock Sioux Fight The Dakota Access Pipeline.

Always,

Amber
