If you follow my Instagram or Snapchat, you’ve already seen pics of my new pup Bella but I thought I would introduce her here as well. I really missed having a dog around and had been looking at different adoption sites for a couple of months. I finally came across what I thought would be a good fit for me. She was mid-sized, about 35 pounds, 1.5 years old, house broken, well-behaved and super chill according to the foster family. So I went to this adoption event to meet this dog but when I got there the family hadn’t arrived with her yet. I spotted this little, black 5 month old Doxin/Border Collie mix with big ears and of course thought she was adorable, but I was pretty set on having a bigger, older dog. As I was waiting I thought, no harm in holding this cute, timid girl. It was tough for the adoption volunteer to get her out of the crate but as soon as I put my arms out she came right out. I picked her up and she put a paw on each shoulder and nuzzled her head in my neck, like she was hugging me and I just knew that she was my dog.
I’ve had her for a month now and am just loving life with this little pooch. She has such a funny personality, is super curious and so smart.
I’d like to shout out 4 Paws 4 Life Rescue for hooking me up with such an awesome pooch. Seriously, who rescued who?
