Last weekend, you may have seen on my Insta Stories or Snapchat (username AmberWilk2) that I was in beautiful Aspen, CO with my fave blogger gal pals Mallory from Sweet & Sauer, Desire from Darling Be Daring and Carolina from Chic Talk. I’m not a skier and I don’t particularly enjoy the cold (it was in the single digits!) but I have to say, there is something so refreshing about spending time in the mountains where the air is clean and crisp {& thin}, the views are spectacular, the cell service spotty and the vibe a little friendlier.
Aspen is known for it’s expensive dining, shops and real-estate but regardless of the pretentious reputation and expensive price points, it is a mountain town at it’s core and SO fun to explore. It was a winter wonderland while we were there and around every corner was a view that made me feel like I was in a snow globe.

You cannot go to Aspen without walking around and window shopping at all of the ah-mazing designer shops, everything from Gucci and Valentino to Intermix. If you are a skier or snowboarder obviously you’ll want to hop on Ajax (the mountain) if not, finish you’re shopping, stop at the Ajax restaurant at the base of the mountain for some delicious truffle fries and then head up the gondola to partake in Apres (post skiing drinks and eats). It is great fun and people watching.
After you rest up from an eventful day you’ll want to chow down on some delicious pizza from Mezzaluna or grab some sushi at Matsuhisa. Definitely stop by the famous Hotel Jerome for a drink in the cozy lounge or if you’re up for a more exciting night I would recommend Boosty Bellows.
I cannot recommend a trip to Aspen enough. It is equal parts tranquil and great bougie fun!
Always,
Amber
