Hope you had a fantastic weekend! If you have followed my blog for awhile you know that I am definitely more chic than sporty. It’s taken me forever to give in to the sneaker trend. But now that I have, I love it. I usually don’t like sporty looks or sneakers because I never feel pulled together, it always feels sloppy or too casual. Enter the sporty chic look. Relaxed but polished. Fabletics is one of my active wear brands and I love all of their lifestyle items like this skirt. It’s great because it can be made casual like in this look but if I got rid of this (fabulous) bomber jacket and threw on some heels, voila a night out.
A great bomber jacket is definitely a key component to a sporty chic look. Bombers are trending like crazy right now so your options are endless. You can get it in a variety of colors (baby pink, metallic and olive have been huge), satin, embroidered, oversized, you get the picture. I chose this preppy black and white one because I know I will get SO much use out of it. I finished off this look with a structured backpack to keep with the casual vibe but because it’s shape and quality leather it is still chic.
When going for a look like this is make sure most of your outfit isn’t baggy. A loose tee is fine but don’t pair it with loose track pants, you only get one loose item! Mix and match sporty pieces with non-sporty pieces, to be safe I would wear more chic than sporty, otherwise you may look like you’re coming from the gym. Keep your accessories polished. Sleek oversized sunnies, a structured bag, a leather baseball cap are all perfect. Most of all make sure your sneakers are clean!
Always,
Amber
