Honestly, I’ve never been too keen on beanies. Maybe because growing up in Colorado it was more of a ‘my head is freezing and I MUST have a hat’ situation than a fashion statement. Now that I live in Southern California I appreciate the fashion benefits of colder weather more than I ever did when I lived in it. So many layering options, big statement jackets, and the cold weather accessories are endless and so fun. So now that I don’t really need a beanie it’s much more appealing. It just makes any outfit more…chill. Pun intended. I’m loving the loose, draped top from Bar III. It has amazing zipper details on the shoulders that my favorite crepe trench (also seen here) is hiding. The comfortable leggings and Dolce Vita ‘Icarus’ Bootie make it a great option for a casual Thanksgiving dinner, but be sure to take off the beanie at the dinner table 😉
